Bruce Willis Announces Retirement From Acting After Aphasia Diagnosis

Bruce Willis, the actor known best for his performances in Die Hard, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense and more is retiring from acting after being diagnosed with Aphasia. A statement was released by his family, via Instagram:

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support,” the statement continues. “We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that.”

The message, which accompanied an image of Willis, was simultaneously uploaded by Willis’s daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, his ex-wife, Demi Moore, and his wife Emma Heming Willis. viagracomprar.1blogs.es

Willis, who is 67, has been working tirelessly since the 1970s, gaining fame in the 1980s for his work on the TV series Moonlighting before becoming one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood. In recent years, he has worked non-stop on dozens of VOD films, much like his Hollywood peer Nicolas Cage.

Aphasia often affects people who have experienced some kind of brain trauma, such as a stroke or aneurysm. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, who has suffered aneurysms, has been open about her struggle with aphasia, as has Sharon Stone, and Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.
