Here is a list of things that you will have to essentially buy for your little one. Investing in a good car seat is essential. Car seats can be typically used until the child is 3 – 4 years old.
Apart from the personal items for yourselves the bag that you pack for the hospital should also contain baby items such as baby clothes, baby socks, mittens, scarf, baby wraps, two or three baby towels and baby wipes. You can also carry, diapers but most hospitals supply diapers for the newborn babies.
If you are not planning to breastfeed your child, then it is best to take along, feeding bottle, formula milk and bottle sterilizers. Do not buy huge stock of formula milk. Investing in a crib is a good idea since your little one can sleep in it until they are three years old. Having a bassinet, also helps to carry the baby along while you go out or inside the house. It is however best to go for a second-hand bassinet since babies outgrow them within 2 – 3 months. Other essential stuff that you can have at home are baby bath tub, baby soaps, shampoos, thermometer, medicines for fever and cold and diaper rash cream.
Clean the nursery and stock everything that is related to the baby there and when your bundle of joy arrives you will be totally prepared to deal with it.
