Ripleys Believe it or Not London

Want to see something unusual? Want to experience something which you have never experienced before? If you want such surprises, come to Ripley’s Believe It or Not, London. Robert LeRoy Ripley started this museum with his own exhibits. The museum was then opened to the public on 20th August 2008.

Spread over 24000 square feet, it’s the perfect way to have fun. It also appeals to the entire family. Around 800 wacky, unusual and original exhibits are on display to amuse, excite and surprise you.

As you explore the place, you will come across a two-headed calf, man-eating face, Siamese cow which has two heads and multiple limbs and many such weird things. Situated at the Piccadilly Circus, it is open from 10am to 12 midnight.

A major attraction is the Summer of Love, two authentic fertility statues which are believed to help people become pregnant when they touch them. Around 2000 women, who were told by their doctors that they would never be able to conceive, are believed to have become pregnant after visiting the statues.

Children can enjoy the fish floor, which resembles a real fish pond. A mirror maze which has hundreds of mirrors in every direction is a great way to run around, catch your family and friends and have a good time. The more number of people, the more confusing it becomes.

Get amused by the sculpture of The Beatles made up of chewing gum by Enrique Ramos. Go back to history as you come across 75 million-year-old dinosaur eggs arranged in an attractive and creative design.

Get to know Marilyn Monroe closely by having a look at her make-up kit, sweater and other belongings. Meet the tallest man in the world, Robert Wadlow who stands 8 feet 11 inches tall.

Know to what extent creativity can be displayed with the use of simple things. At a spot here you will find out how 264345 ordinary matchsticks can be used to build a replica of the Tower Bridge. Extreme imagination and unique ideas are also seen when you have a look at the copy of the last supper made out on a single grain of rice.

Teenagers will enjoy the horror exhibits which almost look real and can spook anyone out. Tripods and lights are not allowed, but you can take pictures. Food and drinks are not allowed. You can easily reach this museum by taking a bus or simply walk from the Piccadilly Circus. Get ready to be amused, surprised and excited.
