Australia is such a vast country and there are so many iconic places to visit, where do you start? With HAYLEY NOLAN’s mini guide, of course!

Australia has built up a huge reputation for great wine over the years, so where better to go than the vineyards where they all began. Perth has 40 vineyards in the Swan Valley. A great way to see all these, plus parks and skyscrapers, is to take a cruise down the Swan River.

When you think of Australia it’s hard not to conjure up images of the famous Opera House, so Sydney is a must for all trips! You can kayak under the Harbour Bridge or take a ferry ride across the harbour to Manly, where you’ll get an amazing view of the legendary Opera House!

Another famous city, Brisbane, is great for outdoor activities, from perusing the Riverside gardens and the markets of South Bank, as well as swimming in the lagoon, to abseiling the cliffs of Kangaroo Point!

In one of the driest, hottest countries in the world, who knew  there were Australian Alps to explore just east of Sydney! Snow clad and mountainous, you can see glacial lakes, snowgum woodlands and Alpine Meadows on route to Australia’s tallest peak, Mount Kosciuszko.
