Situated in Canada, the city of Vancouver is fast becoming a tourist hot spot with a horde of attractions and activities for every kind of traveler. The second largest city in the North Western Pacific region, the city sits right above the sea level at 2m and is also deemed to be one of the largest industrial centers of Canada.

Getting There and Around: Vancouver can easily be reached by boats via the Panama Canal seaport which also plays a major role in the export and import of cargo to and from the surrounding regions. BC Ferries are available aplenty and help in transporting guests between Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and coastal British Columbia.

Flights land at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) which is about 25 minutes from the city center. There are plenty of cabs and public transports to take guests into and around the city. The Pacific Central Station is the stop for rail and bus services and is located at the Main and Terminal Street. Walking down the tree lined streets is also a pleasure with many historic gardens to stop by and relax at.

When to visit: In contrast to other parts of Canada, Vancouver has a relatively milder climate and is therefore a favorite with Canadians as well who visit the city for short breaks of two or three days. The pleasant climate ensures guests enjoy their stay to a maximum.

Tourist Attractions: A bevy of parks, museums and beaches welcome the holiday hungry traveler with open arms. The most popular of all of Vancouver’s attractions are its spectacular beaches. Nearly 18 kilometers of powder white sand and alluring green waters beckon visitors and there are several lakeside properties as well which are open to the public.

The Locarno Beach, Sunset Beach and the Spanish Banks Beach are family friendly and are quieter than the other beaches which are frequented by the livelier crowd. Loud music is banned at these beaches and you could get some quality time off with your family or loved ones.

Vancouver is rich in history and culture and the city’s museums prove just that. The Vancouver Museum and the Vancouver Maritime Museums house a number of interesting artifacts in addition to holding exhibitions and interactive shows for families and children. Estufa de pellets

The city has a number of parks that are scattered around the region. Walk into the Stanley Park and be amazed by the sheer size of it. Housing a 150 year old rainforest within its walls, the park is a wonderful place to spend the day with the family.

The Bloedel Conservatory can be thought of as a green haven for sub tropical plants and rare species of birds. Housed under a closed dome, the conservatory gives one the feeling of entering a world devoid of civilization. The Queen Elizabeth park is also a must visit attraction and needs to be in your list of never to miss sites.

While you are in Vancouver, head out to the Garden City of Victoria for a wonderful day of shopping, site seeing and golfing amidst splendid greenery. The Butchart Gardens sits here with nearly 5o acres of flowers and gardens created in various themes.

Whistler, one of the leading ski resorts in the world is located just a short drive away and you can enjoy a smashing day skiing down the slopes of the alpine mountains. Harrison Hot Springs and Steveson are also hotshot regions to visit in addition to the Sunshine Coast which has sparkling beaches caressing golden sandy beaches.

Make the trip to Vancouver all the more special. Take your family and loved ones with you and give them a treat they will never forget!
